Due to continued expansion within the broadband solutions industry, Fujitsu has a need to augment its in-house engineering resources by contracting out some of its leading edge development work. Asidua is now a strategic partner in the specification, design, implementation and validation of all real-time embedded software for Fujitsu's Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) portfolio. Our partnership with Fujitsu underlines Asidua's capability as a leading developer of embedded software solutions in a globally competitive market, providing essential services to one of the world's largest IT corporations.

Asidua began supplying a wide range of services to FTEL to help with their growing demand for high bandwidth network access solutions, which form a key part of the UK Government's 'Broadband Britain' initiatives.

Asidua has responsibility for the maintenance of the DSLAM line cards that are currently deployed in the field.

The detailed knowledge gained from working on the current product line made Asidua the perfect source for determining the feasibility, designing and implementing new systems incorporating Voice over DSL (VoDSL) functionality. Asidua now provides key technical expertise to FTEL with regard to the implementation of embedded systems software which delivers VoDSL in FTEL's latest generation of DSL equipment

The Asidua and FTEL relationship has benefited both companies; FTEL have enhanced, maintained and developed new products for their portfolio while Asidua has gained invaluable experience in ATM, SNMP, VoATM, AAL0-5, BLES, CES and ADSL to add to their already extensive experience.

Systems Validation

Reliability and robustness are key to the success of FTEL's products. FTEL chose Asidua to provide testing support for all the FTEL products. Asidua commissioned a test lab on-site in Belfast. The team has brought their combined experience of design, implementation, validation and test automation to support and enhance the existing FTEL validation processes. FTEL has used the expertise within the Asidua team to provide maintenance cover for their core products and to provide teams dedicated to the testing of the products that are currently out in the field.
