Business in the Community: Workplace Health and Well-being Award 2008

4th June 2008

Asidua’s commitment to actively encouraging a work-life balance for all employees has recently led to the company being awarded ‘Highly Commended’ in the Workplace Health and Wellbeing category at the Business in the Community (BitC) Awards 2008. This award was presented to Asidua at BitC’s Gala Awards Dinner held in Belfast’s Waterfront Hall on 29 May.

Sponsored by Carecall and in association with Action Cancer, the award recognises organisations that demonstrate a comprehensive approach to investing in the health and well-being of their employees. Asidua places the welfare and well-being of its employees as a priority. Through its Employer of Choice strategy, working group programmes - such as the Bike Salary Sacrifice Scheme and Childcare Voucher Salary Sacrifice Scheme - have been implemented.

Since becoming a member of BitC in 2006, Asidua has made a public commitment to improving its positive impact on society and support the growing movement of responsible business practice. BitC seeks to help businesses become socially responsible and support companies by developing innovative campaigns and programmes focusing upon:

• environment

• workplace

• social impact

• economic impact
