Asidua plays a vital role in Causeway
20th July 2005
Belfast, Northern Ireland [July 20, 2005]: On June 21, 2007, Causeway Electronic Case Preparation went live for the police, prosecution service and forensic science laboratory. This was the culmination of a huge effort by hundreds of staff across the criminal justice agencies, their technical experts and some key external suppliers.
Causeway is more than just computer systems, and its inception and evolution has led to a set of business change activities across all three agencies. As an example, these have included the redesign of business processes within PSNI that released staff previously involved in case preparation. As a supplier within this arena, Asidua’s contribution was singled out for praise, by Causeway Programme Manager Brett Hannam. Mr Hannam said, ”I was extremely impressed by the technical excellence and professionalism of the Asidua team – as were my colleagues. Without their support Causeway would not have gone live.”
Responding to the praise for the team, Asidua CEO Dr Steve Brankin commented, “Everyone in the team is delighted to have received such great praise from the Causeway programme manager. As a provider of Application and Data Integration, we at Asidua pride ourselves on the depth and breadth of our experience and it is heartening to see this view validated. As well as the high level of technical skill Asidua brought to Causeway, I believe it was the willingness of our consultants to go the extra mile that caused us to stand out.”
It is the second time Asidua have been singled out: at last month's official launch of the new system, Stephen Leach the Director of Criminal Justice extended his thanks and praise to Asidua, as one of a small number of suppliers who worked on the project.
