Asidua sponsors MENCAP Race Evening

For the fourth consecutive year, Asidua is pleased to provide corporate sponsorship for the MENCAP Race Evening at the Down Royal Racecouse - Summer Festival 08. Last year, this charitable funding-raising event collected almost £60,000.

Asidua again sponsors the third race of the evening's programme, the Asidua Maiden Hurdle. Last year, jockey David Casey completed a double when he ruled "Eastern Canal" to victory in the Asidua Maiden Hurdle and was presented with a special City of Derry Crystal trophy by Asidua CEO Dr. Steve Brankin; Casey's earlier win had been gained on "Safari Run" in the opening Mares Novice Hurdle.

MENCAP offers information, support and a range of services for children and adults with a learning disability. They also campaign for choice, opportunity and respect for people with a learning disability and their families. Asidua wishes MENCAP every success with the Race Evening event.
