Company History
Asidua was formed in 2002 by management buy-out. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, growing year on year. Milestones in the company’s rapid development are listed below:
- 2010: in partnership with HP, Asidua successfully deliver the eSchools project which has transformed the administration of education services for 350,000+ pupils across Northern Ireland through the integration of systems in over 1,200 primary and post primary schools
- 2010: Asidua’s announce NSPCC as Asidua Charity of the Year
- 2010: Asidua’s CCP offering is successfully deployed in Team Lancashire and Chorley County Council
- 2010: Asidua introduce new Customer Contact Platform (CCP) offering which helps make customer contact easy for local authorities
- 2010: Asidua shortlisted for GradIreland recruitment awards
- 2010: Asidua extend successful Asidua Scholarship Programme with the award of 3 new scholars
- 2009: Asidua extend successful engagement with Northern Ireland Water
- 2009: Asidua and Wintegra announce the availability of Carrier Ethernet Control Stacks for WinPath
- 2009: Asidua launch new WinPath Extpert Services (WES) offering to the worlwide telecoms market
- 2009: Asidua obtain Investors in People (IiP) on first assessment
- 2009: Asidua win University of Ulster Placement Employer of the Year
- 2009: Asidua announce £25,000 Asidua Scholarship Programme to support local IT students
- 2008: Asidua and Wintegra agree joint services and technology offering and jointly go to market. Within weeks this proposition delivers a business win with Dilithium
- 2008: Asidua delivers contact centre integration solution for Harrow Council
- 2008: Asidua’s Application & Data Integration solution delivers major process improvements and cost reduction for BT Ireland
- 2008: Asidua wins Application & Data Integration project with Northern Ireland Water
- 2008: in partnership with Infineon, Asidua completes development of network processor hardware abstraction layer for an equipment vendor based in China
- 2007: new Asidua (GB) Ltd subsidiary established and offices opened at Blythe Valley Business Park, Solihull in the West Midlands
- 2007: new Asidua (Ireland) Ltd subsidiary established with offices in the heart of Dublin’s new docklands financial district.
- 2007: Asidua celebrates 5 successful years
- 2007: Asidua leads Northern Ireland high-technology companies in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Ireland 2007 list, and comes 48th in overall Fast 50 UK
- 2006: contract with Fujitsu Telecommunications Europe Limited to develop all the software for the next generation of DSL products, including integrated voice & DSL systems; that contract was signed at the end of 2003, and has been renewed until 2010
- 2006: substantial contract related to the development of Operational Support Systems (OSS) and business process management middleware systems for British Telecommunications plc (BT)
- 2005: delivered a .NET based client-server systems to the Northern Ireland Department of Employment & Learning (now DETI)
- 2005: worked with Fujitsu Services on the development and delivery of systems for the Northern Ireland Department of Vehicle Licensing (DVLNI)
- 2005: collaborated with Virtual Access (Ireland) Limited on a series of deployments and feature enhancements to the latter’s product set
- 2005: worked in the USA with Crossvale, Inc. developing and delivering training material for BEA Systems
- 2004: relationship established with Mobile Cohesion, developing a Web Services integration capability for their HYDRA product: this project addressed the challenges facing mobile operators when delivering and managing a large portfolio of value added services
- 2004: Asidua began deployments of the Ultimus BPM suite in BT, providing solutions for managing business processes associated with BT’s satellite broadband and wireless broadband services
- 2004: forged partnership relationship with Deloitte: the result was the deployment of resources on a major public sector integration project to deliver an integrated criminal justice solution
- 2003: began to work with Openwave, a leading developer of software solutions for the mobile telephony market, to assist them in their product development
- 2003: signed a unique teaming agreement with Steria, a pan-European systems integrator, enabling a joint approach to the Health Sector
- 2003: collaborated with Legerity, a market leader in the production of integrated devices for voice & data systems, in developing embedded software frameworks
- 2002: company commenced trading as Asidua Limited
